ELEANOR MORGAN

ELEANOR MORGAN founded Calusa Musicale 30 years ago. “She was so generous with her knowledge of music”.

 

   Honored with numerous awards and accolades over the years, Eleanor Morgan graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio with a bachelor's degree in music performance. She received a master's degree in piano performance from the University of Miami and has taught music in Miami and with the Lee County school system. After retiring, Morgan became a private music teacher. She also was an active ballroom dancer.

In December of 2008, Eleanor moved to South Carolina to be closer to her son.

CORELLA STAHL

Corella Stahl came to Florida with her mother from Morehead City, North Carolina to join her father Lewis Piner, in Fort Myers, Florida. In 1938, she visited a neighbor to play their piano. By the age of six, a new piano was purchased for her and she began taking lessons with concert pianist, Margaret Kinender. Corella studied piano and organ at Bob Jones University, St. Louis Institute of Music, Stetson University, and Edison College. She has a BA and an Associate Degree in Religion. Corella received her permanent Professional Certificate from the National Music Teachers Association in 1993. She has served as President of the Florida Music Teachers Association and as President of the Fort Myers Music Teachers Association. Since 1961, Corella was chairman of the local National Guild of Piano Auditions. She has served as organist and choir director of several local churches. In her 48 years of teaching, Corella's students have ranked high in the Junior Festivals. Corella was President of Calusa Musicale.
